I always knew I wanted a dog one day, and I never really thought about a cat. I first decided I would have a "Scottie dog" when I was in elementary school, then I wanted a Dalmatian, then a Golden Retriever, then a Lab, then a Bull Terrier (yes, that's right, I'm into Tim Burton stuff that's why...), then I wanted a Pit Bull, and now I'm convinced that I'll have a Bernese Mountain Dog one day. I have had zero dogs up to this point. Now I have a cat.
We got a cat because we cannot have a dog where we live. We found Willie at the Humane Society and he is perfect for us. He is so cute and cuddly but also independent. One day I will get the dog I've always imagined, but honestly, having a self-cleaning animal who doesn't bark or chew up my shoes and furniture is pretty cool. He just ruins my plants, but oh well!
