Christmas Vacation 2016
Ryan and I wanted to get away for a few days while we both had a break this winter and had a tough time figuring out where to go... We originally had planned for San Francisco until we realized the drive there in the winter time wouldn't be vey safe. Then we bought a camp ground at the Grand Canyon where we planned to get away, until we found out the weather was bad going south and some important roads were closed down. SOOOOO... Lava it was! Only a 2 hour drive and clear roads all the way up.
We stayed in a cute room at the Home Hotel. The hot springs felt amazing with the cold air and snow all around. And of course there were cute restaurants on main street that we went to for ummm...every meal. At night in our room we cozied up to Freaks and Geeks, which we just recently discovered thanks to Netflix. There was only 1 season made which is utterly depressing, because the show is THE BEST.
This was a 100% relaxing mini-vaca. Total success.
